Innovation in Restaurant Management: The White Rabbit Family's 'Hostess' System Implementation
Client Description
White Rabbit Family is a renowned group of restaurants that sought to streamline their table reservation process and enhance customer experience. They aimed to offer a convenient system for their guests that not only managed table bookings, but also provided personalised services based on guest preferences and loyalty levels.
Client Challenge
The client faced several challenges, including managing table reservations, tracking restaurant occupancy, optimising staffing, and catering to diverse customer preferences. Moreover, they wanted a solution that integrated with their existing CRM system to manage loyalty points and customer feedback. The system needed to be accessible on iPad tablets to ensure ease of use for the staff, including waiters and chefs.
Our team of four back-end developers and two front-end developers built the "Hostess" system to address the client's needs. The system enabled table reservation management for individual guests and groups, allowed merging and splitting tables, and catered to premium and regular guests. It considered guest preferences, such as seating location and allergy information, and allowed for adjustments to the restaurant layout for special events. The system provided real-time data on restaurant occupancy, revenue, staff workload, and customer feedback. It also automatically upgraded customer loyalty levels and integrated with the client's existing CRM system for managing loyalty points.
The Results
The project was completed and launched into production within six months. The "Hostess" system has since been successfully implemented across the White Rabbit Family group of restaurants. It has streamlined table reservations, improved the dining experience for guests, and optimised restaurant operations. The system's ability to gather valuable customer data and feedback has empowered the client to make informed decisions and provide personalised services, leading to increased customer satisfaction and loyalty.
