iOS App for Smart Payment Terminal Owners
Client Description
Evotor is a leader in the smart terminal market in Russia. In 2016 the company launched its first Android-based smart terminal, growing to over 850 000 terminals in use by 2022. Evotor also offers a multitude of e-commerce solutions, as well as a b2b marketplace with services enriching the ecosystem.
Client Challenge
The client wanted to revive the mobile application, make it more appealing and extend the functionality. The most difficult part was the number of states for each screen and the wide adoption of OS versions that the client wasn't willing to drop.
Our Solution
Our team worked closely with the backend and test teams of the client, shared expertise with UI testers, and helped to solve controversial interactive design cases. Our developers acted as an intermediary between test and product teams when that was beneficial for the final application.
We extended the team over time from just iOS to both iOS and Android as the client wanted to invest more in mobile seeing the results that we achieved.

The Results
We continuously worked with the client for almost 2 years until covid and consequent reduction of investment in mobile. The client measured our performance based on the number of issues returned back from their QA for revision and the change of the crashrate. The first one was improved by 23% and the second one from 91.2 to 99.8 percent crash-free users for iOS and 99.1% for Android.
